It is with great sadness that I am closing the auction for the Starfish Babies. I have prayed about if for months and it would seem the time has come. The donations stopped coming in months ago.
I want to thank each of you on behalf of the babies we were able to help receive their surgeries with the almost $9,000 we raised. What a blessing each of you have been.... each one who donated, who bid, who helped spread the word, who lifted these little ones up in prayer.
May God bless you and may God bless the children.
If anyone is led to help these babies by doing a fundraiser, auction, etc. Please let me know so that I can help spread the word or perhaps make a donation to your auction as well.

Donation Guidelines~ I am not able to accept any donation that is in any way related to Halloween, Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, etc.
I am a born again Christian and several years ago the Lord convicted my heart regarding these areas. Although not everyone shares in my convictions, Jesus has made me aware that they are Pagan and that they do not glorify God. This auction site ultimately belongs to Him, as do the precious children at Starfish Foster Home. So, as much as I appreciate these donations and I know they come from the love in your hearts. I am not able to accept them.
Thank you so much for your understanding and for your giving hearts for the children.

More Information on the Auction
There have been some questions as to when the auction items will close. What I have been doing is listing each item. After it has started receiving a lot of bids I am posting a close date that will still give others an opportunity to find their way here and place a bid if they like. Some of the items that have very generous bids I will go back and move the closing date up. When I do this I will always leave at least 2 days for others to still bid in case they were waiting for the closing date.Thank you all so much for bearing with me... I am new to all of this and am trying to figure out the best way to go about everything that will make it fun for everyone and most beneficial to the children.

Starfish Story...
An older man was walking along a beach when he saw a young boy. Along the shore were many starfish that had been washed up by the tide and were sure to die before the tide returned. The boy was walking slowly along the shore and occasionally reached down and tossed a beached starfish back into the ocean.
The older man, hoping to teach the boy a little lesson in common sense, walked up to the boy and said, "I have been watching what you are doing, son. You have a good heart, and I know you mean well, but do you realize how many beaches there are around here and how many starfish are dying on every beach every day? Surely, such an industrious and kindhearted boy such as yourself could find something better to do with your time. Do you really think that what you are doing is going to make a difference?"
The boy looked up at that man, and then he looked down at a starfish by his feet. He picked up the starfish, and as he gently tossed it back into the ocean, he said, "For this one, it makes a difference."

I suppose all good things must come to an end. This auction was an amazing place for everyone to come together for the sake of the babies. $9000 is no spit in the bucket! That is HUGE!!! Thank you for all the hard work you put into this auction. It really is a lot of working organzing those who donated and those who won and making sure everything gets to where it needs to be. This was an amazing blog and without a doubt it brought awareness, prayers, and blessings to those precious little ones! I'm sad to see it go...
