The Board of Directors of Starfish Children's Services has donated one of the beautiful bracelets designed especially for their Starfish Babies Bracelet Fundraiser this month to help raise money to pay for 4 surgeries.
There is a Chinese proverb that says "an invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstance." The red thread on this bracelet is far from invisible. Instead, it is designed for those who wear it to show their support of Starfish as we help those children connected, but not yet united with their forever families.
The Starfish Babies Bracelets designed by Ettika. Ettika, a boutique artisan firm that accessorizes many celebrities, is supporting our mission through a special price break on these high-end bracelets. Each piece is crafted from genuine Greek leather. The starfish jewel is cast using pewter metal and individually hand-dipped in 14K gold. This beautiful piece is being sold for the fundraiser for $222.08 each.

I honestly don't know what to say.... I am humbled and amazed and oh, so thankful for each of you. Each of you has reached out and given from your heart to make a difference in a child's life. Well, one of Debbie's friends has made an anonymous donation of $1,000.00 to the Starfish surgery fund. Thank you so much Miss S from the bottom of my heart. This has brought us up to $6,369.00 Which I do believe means we have raised enough to pay for our second surgery ladies! You have now made a difference in two precious children's lives.... You have now played a part in saving the lives of two children.

I also wanted to let you know that I have received an email from Amanda and she wanted me to thank each of you for all you have done for the children. She is truly grateful. Also I have received a thank you card from one of the Board of Directors thanking us for helping the children. You ladies are just wonderful!

This precious outfit was donated by Diana at Red Thread Creations. She received the outfit from a secret pal, but unfortunately her daughter grew too quickly to wear it. She did wear the pants once, but the whole outfit is in new condition. The 3 piece outfit is 24 months and includes a embroidered denim hat (lined in the green dot fabric), embroidered denim capris with green dot trim, and cute embroidered white top. The embroidery says, 'follow me home to my flower patch' and has adorable bright pink ladybugs and flowers. The same ladybugs and flowers are on the hat and capris. Diana will pay for the shipping.

My travel schedule - so here it is. I will be in Lansing, Michigan this next weekend and have one session already planned. I can take another (or maybe two) if anyone is interested. I am then coming home and heading to Hilton Head - and YES I can work in two or three sessions on the beach. I will be traveling to Williamsburg, VA the weekend of September 12th for a session - so since this is a working trip - I can available to work in some other sessions. Ok ladies.... one of us has a husband who is traveling to China on business. They were able to contact Amanda from Starfish Foster Home and he will be going to visit her and our babies on the 24th of Aug. .

It is too late to send them anything to take with them to help the babies. I know you all have already done so much but I was thinking perhaps we could set up a paypal account or something and who ever wanted to make a monetary donation to it and then he can give Amanda an envelope from us with money to buy much needed supplies for the babies.... this is just an idea.

So, if anyone would be interested in this please email me and I will set it up. First I am waiting to hear back from her to make certain that it would be ok with her husband.
